Yes people, this is definitely “one of those things that makes you go hmmmm . . . in a big, big, way!” This is a level of blatant “hypocrisy” that goes beyond words and is a clear indicator of just how pathetic the United Nation’s truly is.
Members of the United Nations recently elected Faisal Bin Hassan Trad, the Saudi Arabian Ambassador at the U.N. in Geneva as “Chair of a panel of international experts on the U.N. Human Rights Panel.” Seriously? I’m sorry, but “Human Rights” and “Saudi Arabia” are two things that absolutely don’t go together! What the hell were they thinking, did they drop acid or something before they voted?
Look, for all I know Mr. Trad could be a great guy with a caring personality, but the actions of his country in terms of “Human Rights” speaks quite differently. Did you know that as of June 15, 2015, The Saudi Arabian Government has publicly executed One Hundred people who were beheaded in a public square. They also plan to break their record this year for the amount of people they can behead, like it’s some sort of sick, twisted, game. Yes, that is clearly a perfect example of “Human Rights” Next . . .
Alright ladies, you’re going to love this. In Saudi Arabia, women are not allowed to drive. Yup, it is against the law for women to have a drivers licence. Wait, it gets better . . . also in Saudi Arabia, it is against the law for women to get a higher education unless it is approved by the man in the house. Am I missing something here or is this a perfect example of a “Human Right’s” violation?
The least the U.N. could have done was elect someone whose country allows the basic rights of a higher education for everyone. I guess I can only hope that Mr. Trad begins his new role as Chief of the U.N. Human Rights Panel by making sure his first priority is enforcing his country to practice what “He” is preaching.
