I Hope The Easter Bunny Doesn’t Slip On All The Snow

So Easter is only like a week away and Spring has most definitely “NOT” arrived. Well, not where I live anyway. Living up here in the Northeast this winter can only be described as long and painful. Oh and there’s also- snowy and cold-icy and terrible-record breaking and exhausting. As a matter of fact, it’s snowing right now as I write this. Seriously Mother Nature, screw you! I live 26 miles north of Boston Mass and we have had over 110 inches of snow this year. I actually just saw the grass in my back yard for the first time since December and there are still mountains and mountains of snow left.

I don’t want to be held responsible for the Easter Bunny slipping on my property and suing me for damages so I think we should just officially call Easter off! If you think for one minute that I’m hiding colored Easter eggs in the snow for an Easter egg hunt this year you are sadly mistaken. We were teased with a day that hit 52 degrees, but it was just a set up for a serious let down! It’s supposed to get down to 16 degrees tonight . . . oh it’s so balmy!

I actually do feel badly for all the young kids who play Spring sports like baseball, softball, lacrosse, because none of the fields are clear. They all still have 2-3 feet of snow on them. Looks like spring sports may not happen this year unless Mother Nature gets off her fat a** and high horse and sends a few 80 degree days.  Easter is cancelled this year do to lack of sunshine, grass, bloomed trees and warm weather.
